Hello Group,
I'm totally new to this group(s) - however I'm Working with PC's since 1984
and with Windows since Windows 3.0 ...
Apologise if this is perhaps not the right group(s) to ask this question
- please point me in the right direktion ...
Now I stumbled into a problem where I installed Ahead Nero 5.5 together
with a CD-Writer and the SW works fine as long as you are Administrator.
As 'normal' user Nero doesn't see the Writer and tells you that you
have to have rights (permissions) to use this device.
( => Ask your System Administrater to ... grrr! I am the SysAdmin ...)
Original Error Message from Nero:
'Under Windows NT4/2000 burn rights are required by Nero to access cd
recorders and cd-rom/dvd-rom drives. Please ask your System Administrator
for a permission to use Nero'
This particular problem occured under Win2k, but I understand that with
NT it would be the same Situation ...
So the question is:
How and where can I assign rights to users to use this device?
Is this a problem WITHIN Nero ?? - Or is it a System Right thats missing?
Many Thanks for reading this far ...
... and even more for a constructive answer ...
rgds
Karl
