fine
but how to do it from a non-working system ?
the system I have mails on crushed :((
that's the point
maybe you know something about this ..?
there is some more explanations:
thanks AL and KlausF for any answer :)
but:
1.asume the local stored files are THE ONLY COPY of their mails
2. it's not enough to simply copy .pst files, and my QUESTION WAS : WHAT
to do exacly to make the mails readable for users (different one couse
of new instalation on another disk). I've heard I have to export them in
a particular way with mail client (M... do not remember now the name).
THAT the problem - how to do it .
Let think about this problem like: I have user A and all his files. And
I have user B on another computer. (I want to make an exacly copy of
user A mails and adressbook to user B. Computers are not connected (but
I can move data on disk or CD ). There is no possibility of simple
resend mails from user A to B )
that's the question. HOW TO DO IT !
3. I have access to the damage ntfs partition and I can read any file on
it so it's not the problem
4. please do not say me : you should back up :))) I KNOW ! I SHOULD !
but now it's TOO LATE :)
by the way i had a back up but it did not work. System can't see the
partition if I try to boot from CD install WINNT, or flopy or just from
the damage disk. I can see these partitions only when i boot from
another nt system , but even then i can't check them for errors etc.
SO please read point 2 again and try to help :)) (or if you really know
it's enough to just copy the files - and maybe some more simple things )
