Hmmm.. In that case i would make a backup of the whole system and
resintall it. Then at free times will restore it in some dummy system
and try to figure out whether he really broke in. I would also make
sure that i install some IDS tools (tripwire, LSAT - google will give
you a handful).
Also you can leave the system as is, make one more system ready(with
IDS and other tools) and make it live.
