There is _no_ legitimate reason for anything to run _as_ root for an
extended period. Software that "requires" such is braindead,
improperly designed, or the product of amateurs, probably
all-of-the-above. Find something else. Quick!

Normal _and_ irrelevant to running sofware as root.

Whatever problem you're trying to address, this is _not_ the solution.

So long as you persist in this line of questioning without providing
any indication of why you want to do this, I must reply, "Don't, don't,
don't," so others that stumble on these posts don't get the idea that
running as root is _ever_ justifiable. System rescue excepted ;-)
