Fedora 2
SysVinit-2.85-25
usermode-1.70-2
kernel-2.6.8-1.521
gnome-desktop-2.6.0.1-1
How is the authentication handled when the reboot (consolehelper)
command is run? Is reboot also calling userhelper? I think for a
multiuser system reboots should not be permissible without an
established sudo protocol. I can chmod halt yes, but what is the
"correct" way to manipulate command line reboot permissions and also
that provided with the "Log Out" tool in Gnome?
In a revers type situation, without using sudo, how do I allow the
up2date program to be run by mortals and not give out root passwords as
/usr/bin/up2date is also is pointer to consolehelper?
Thanks
