Cookies are a browser thing, and not specific to any OS. In Firefox,
you can remove cookies, clear the cache, etc. by going to
Tools --> Options --> Privacy
and clearing them individually or using the "Clear All" button.
| How do I activate the firewall in Mandrake 10.0 ?
There are plenty of options, but the easiest is going to the
star menue --> System --> Configuration --> Configure Your Computer
then giving it your root password, and going to
Security --> Firewall
Use the checkboxes to tell Shorewall what should and shouldn't go in and
out, and click "Advanced" if you need to put in specific ports.

Virii don't propogate through Linux systems like Windows for a number of
reasons: heterogeny (they aren't all exactly alike like Windoze, so
virii can't self-propogate), better security (because millions of
programmers worldwide examine the code, and we geeks are rather
fanatical about patching), and so on and so forth.
The only reason to run an antivirus on Linux is if you are running a
mail server for use by Windoze machines. (That way you can scan email
for virii before it reaches vulnerable Windows machines.)
It doesn't sound like that's what you're doing, so don't worry about it.

| Appreciate any help.

Any time. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
