    Hi
    Cookies are a feature of the web browser and not OS-specific. You can
    manage ur cookies (like deleting them or blocking cookies from certain
    sites) from the 'settings options' of ur browser.

    For the firewall, iptables is a good option. You can either set it up
    manually by hand configuring the configuration scripts and adding the
    desired rules or could use some gui tools like 'firestarter'.
    Such tools are available at sf.net
