You mean like Joe Salvati? Back in the 60s the FBI perjured itself under
oath to wrongly convict a man they knew was innocent in order to protect a
paid mob informant. Salvati spent 30-odd years in prison before it was
later proven in court that he was innocent. The judge in that case hauled
the retired FBI district manager into his court to demand how the FBI could
have comitted such an atrocity, to which the FBI manager said, "What do you
    want from me, tears?"

The House Reform Committee took this up, and discovered that the FBI had
also wrongly convicted three other men as well, two of whom died in prison.
According to sworn testimony, the FBI was openly BOASTING of how it
destroyed those mens' lives, and that of their families. And those are
just the ones we know of.

A couple years ago there was a news account of two FBI agents who were
busted for running an "insider-trading" ring with some stockbrokers. They
used their spying powers under the Patriot Act to snoop on certain private
firms, which was then sold to the stockbrokers for a cut of the profits.

You have nothing to worry about? You have much to learn.

    And who defines "important?"

Political interests notwithstanding, how do you determine what's "important"
until you've actually analyzed it? Accordingly, they cannot afford to let
ANYTHING slip past them, hence the need to capture everything.

    "All they can..." What?
