    When shadow was enabled none of the new accounts I created with useradd
    would work. It threw an error that said User Authentication Error.

    I spent a day trying to fix it and ended up googling an article that said
    something about PAM not being adequately configured ( in
    /usr/pam.d/passwd ) and/or shadow passwords not working right.

    Now I'm not sure what to do...
