Well, that depends.
If you pop your mail with fetchmail or something similar that injects
it into a local Linux mail spool, where it is delivered with procmail,
then it is really easy to add spamassassin.
You just add these lines to you .procmailrc file:
:0fw: spamassassin.lock
| /home/<your_home>/sausr/bin/spamassassin
:0:
* ^X-Spam-Status: Yes
in_spamassassin
Of course, you've installed spamassassin in ~/sausr/bin
Then all (most) of your spam is dumped into ~/Mail/in_spamassassin
instead of your regular mail spoool.
If you are popping your mail with Netscape or similar, then
spamassassin isn't the solution for you...
