So really what you're saying is that I have no choice but to re-install
(at least the system partitions).
That's ok with me I guess-- although it will be a pain. Maybe I'll
switch distributions. I don't really like this .rpm thing so I've been
thinking of Gentoo, how is that for security? Better or worse than and
.rpm type system?
Also, I've heard Debian is good for security. But I don't know too much
about this .deb thing. Opinion?
