X config on Intellistation Z Pro

Hi,

I have an IBM Intellistation Z Pro 2.8Ghz running RedHat 8.0.
X is setup to use the vesa driver and I've installed the NVIDIA
stuff (I think correctly but I'm not 100% sure)

Anyway, while it works really well at 1280x1024 the screen flickers
(It's an IBM P97 monitor)...currently running at 60Hz (I understand
that 76Hz is possible).

Any ideas on how to improve the display clarity...help much appreciated
