    There isn't any special configuration required to use dhcp, so I'm not
    sure what you mean when you say "eth0 is configured for DHCP".
    Possibly you mean in your start up scripts? Anyway, all you
    need to do under normal circumstances is run (as root of course)

    # dhcpcd [interface name]

    The interface name isn't always required, but it won't hurt. Depending
    on the dhcp server configuration you man need other options as well,
    man dhcpcd for those.
