This is to my understanding the first time you have asked a specific
question with the target being "filtering embedded languages".

I have not extensively tested the package on filtering embedded
languages, nor was that my aim when I installed it. My aim was to
achieve a strong level of content filtering which I have already
advised, DansGuardian does very well.

Summary of this thread so far:
- The OP of this thread asked a question relating to filtering.
- I suggested DansGuardian
- Another contributor suggested SquidGuard.
- I looked at SquidGuard, and imediately found the text that I then
quoted here, reason being, that it would, in all probability, NOT have
addressed the OPs original aim. At this point in the thread, "filtering
embedded languages" was never an issue (except for you maybe).
- Then you suggest DansGuardian ... untested ... great bit of advise
that ... What right have you to suggest something you know nothing
about?
- Then you ask (in broad terms) if it can do what SquidGuard cannot?
(still no SPECIFIC mention of "filtering embedded languages")
- I then posted a quote from the Dansguardian site (still included
above) what it can and does do. I'd have thought "phrase matching"
would have been the keywords that should have prompted you to start your
own research if you were really interested? You do know how to do your
own research?

You have to admit that your input to date has been far from:
1. informative (suggesting a package that has already been
suggested)
2. specific (finally we are aware that you are interested in
filtering embedded languages)
3. credible (suggesting a package that you have no experience with
is dangerous and irresponsible)

Please don't waste everyones time here.

I and all the regulars here are happy to answer "specific" questions
where we have the experience to do so.
We will not spoon feed people who are too lazy to get off their arses
and do a bit of work themselves.
And we most certainly do not provide advise that is inaccurate, vague,
flawed, or ignorant.

Why don't you go off now and do your own research on DansGuardian and
report back to us if it will handle "filtering embedded languages". I
have neither the time nor the inclination to do your research for you.

Luke.
