I know, I did compile a couple of new kernels without the crypt stuff
before to learn what's going on. The "normal" 2.4.20 worked without
problems.

I tried patch-int and got the error messages I pasted in teh original
post. That's the reason I gave crypto-api a try.

OK.

OK

Of course

Thanks for your help. I once browsed through the archives of that
mailing list via <http://mail.nl.linux.org/linux-crypto/>, but didn't
have the feeling that my particular problem was discussed before.
Maybe I'm wrong, I didn't find a search interface... The only things I
found with google are
<http://mail.nl.linux.org/linux-crypto/2002-01/msg00045.html>
and
http://lists.kernelnotes.de/lugbonn/2002-March/004201.html
which didn't help so much.

Anyway I'll post my error msg to the mailing list after I did a little
more homework and try to fix this by myself....

Thanks a lot
