Well I've had no problems with DVD-R and haven't tried any of the
others (-RW/+R/+RW). This is an active area so perhaps not best
suited to backup BUT I've found it a very cost effective method
especially because I can access my backup disks on 90% of DVD-ROM
drives I don't need to worry about the writer dying and me loosing
access to my data - I'd have felt compelled to purchase at least two
tape drives if I were planning on using tape as a backup method.
