]I've installed SpamAssassin to work in conjunction with exim (it runs
]under the exim user too), and have found a couple of features in the
].spamassassin/user_prefs of the exim home directory. The features
]redirect the mail to /dev/null, tempoary reject and permamently reject
]dependant on the score.
His problem is that any filter on his own machine must import the mail
to that machine befor it can determine whether it is spam. The only
answer is that the filtering software MUST be run on the ISP's machine.
I do not know if he has any control over that machine or not. If he does
he could install filtering there. If not, he is out of luck. You cannot
filter mail when you do not have the mail already to filter.
