ahh, that's news to me. last i heard https didn't work -- apparently
the dreamweaver propaganda machine was working, on me at least.

then again this seems to indicate that it doesn't `really work'.

it is not a given that this would be the case, or that that is why it
was stated, i.e., there are other possibilities as well (e.g., the
material being transferred must be kept confidential or they are worried
about potential `double nat' problems). only the op can say for sure
why they are worried about ftp.
