Havn't posted hhere in a while but i have come across something a
little strange. My Redhat 6.1 machine logs into a terminal screen fine
but when i 'X' windows i have sessions locked after several minutes of
non use. This is done through (xlockmore). When this happens though my
username password combinations that allows me in ,in the 1st place
dont work!!!!. In my log files i get the following errors

Apr 17 22:36:00 echelon xscreensaver[17575]: FAILED LOGIN 1 ON DISPLAY
":0.0", FOR "andrew"
Apr 17 22:36:08 echelon xscreensaver[17575]: FAILED LOGIN 2 ON DISPLAY
":0.0", FOR "andrew"
Apr 17 22:36:15 echelon xscreensaver[17575]: FAILED LOGIN 3 ON DISPLAY
":0.0", FOR "andrew"
Apr 17 22:36:22 echelon xscreensaver[17575]: FAILED LOGIN 4 ON DISPLAY
":0.0", FOR "andrew"
Apr 17 22:36:44 echelon xscreensaver[17575]: FAILED LOGIN 5 ON DISPLAY
":0.0", FOR "andrew"
Apr 17 22:36:53 echelon xscreensaver[17575]: FAILED LOGIN 6 ON DISPLAY
":0.0", FOR "andrew"
Apr 17 22:37:50 echelon xscreensaver[17575]: FAILED LOGIN 7 ON DISPLAY
":0.0", FOR "andrew"

Now i know i am putting in the right password so could this have
something to do with pam.d??

I just don't know

Regards

Andrew
