Hello. My mail server has RH 6.2, Sendmail 8.11, Procmail, and UW POP
and IMAP. I want to prevent spam relays while continuing to provide
POP and IMAP service. For this combination Sendmail recommends using
either POP-before SMTP or Cyrus-SASL. Neither of these are thoroughly
documented and tested under RH 6.2 (2.2 kernel). I am not in a
position to upgrade to 7.x (2.4 kernel) nor convert to postfix, so I'm
seeking a bit of help...
Has anyone out there successfully implemented either POP-before-SMTP
via log2db or Cyrus-SASL in a RH 6.2 environment like mine?
AdvTHANKSance.
Alan
