Please excuse what is probably going to be a really dumb question to most of
you.
I have an apache webserver (running on RH Linux 5.2), which has several
directories /usr/local/apache/htdocs/sales, /usr/local/apache/htdocs/stocks,
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/offers, etc) under the main root web directory -
/usr/local/apache/htdocs. These directories need to be maintained by
different individuals within the respective organisational sections. All of
these individuals already have accounts on the server.
What I would like to know is, how can I let someone ftp their pages into the
directory which belongs to them BUT not allow them access to anything other
than their own directory.
Obviously I would like to allow an admin account to be able to use all of
the directories.
Is this possible? Please be as explicit as possible as I really don't have a
clue sorry!
Many thanks,
Duncan
