This sounds a lot like the 'how to hack yahoo passwords' from a year or so ago. Problem there was, they had you send YOUR current yahoo passowrd as part of the sequence, so the the person who owned 'password-control@ yahoo.com' ( or whatever it was ) ended up hacking you.
