Easy to spoof in software (use smacs, arpspoof, etc.) but hardware is
better. The lazy will just "repeat" the desired MAC using a router, but my
preference is the Speeddemon line with true hardware MAC programmability
(including gigabit):

It is almost always possible to find a computer that is down to spoof
(especially good are little-used isolated machines at legacy pooled
scanners, etc.). The brutal will "force" another target computer offline
before stealing its MAC (yes, this risks detection but is surprisingly
effective if done right)
Not that this cannot be countered - anything can! - but professional tools
are a joy to use :-)
