    Thanks for that link... I had forgotten about Navas - although I had come
    across that page myself only a few weeks ago too. I have never observed the
    alleged loss of performance when the service is off - that may be because I
    run my own dns server on my LAN. I'll try the registry hack to disable
    {negative} caching.
