I have downloaded and tested it, and I am not impressed. The firewall is
not as advanced as I had expected, and the virus protection monitoring
system said I did not have an AV installed! lol. I have arguably the best
antivirus defense available - NOD32 and Sophos, and the virus protection
monitor said that I should 'Get another antivirus program!'. It
recommended CA eTrust EZ Antivirus. That AV scanner only has 18VB100%
awards. NOD32 has 28 VB100% awards and Sophos has 25VB100% awards. I will
not follow Microsofts advice.
I have also found my computer to be slightly more unstable than before the
'upgrade', and my sound card drivers had to be reinstalled.
Really, the upgrade is not all it was made out to be, you would get
better protection sticking with SP1, using NOD32 and Kerio personal
firewall.
I am now considering upgrading to linux/BSD.
