The question then would be what would happen if a TFTP client from a TCP/IP suite is used
such as Hummingbird Exceed's suite of utilities.
The TFTP client attached to the BEFSR41 - v1.46 is 36KB. The one I use is 44.3KB.

| I had always used the TFTP program as well until I replaced my SR41 with a
| SX41. I ended up on the forums on Broadbandreports(www.dslreports.com) and
| after reading a few threads on the Linksys forum found that many were having
| problems with the TFTP program and were having better luck flashing with the
| web interface. There is a user there that goes by the name Flogator that
| has a contact at Linksys and releases beta firmware for us to check out. He
| has a very good explaination on why the web interface is better than the
| TFTP program.(something about memory access) Another users also figured out
| that older versions of the TFTP program do not work as well with newer
| firmware versions.
