1 - Change your "hosts" file

Open "c:\windows\hosts" with Notepad.

This file has no extension.

Add the following line:

s13ds.d8t.biz 127.0.0.1

Your computer, before contacting your ISP's DNS server will
first look the IP address for s13ds.d8t.biz by searching for
it inside the "hosts" file.

127.0.0.1 is your loopback network connection. Your machine.
This will fool the spyware/adware most of the time, but not
all of the time.

2 - Firewall

For Windows 98, Atguard, Atguard, Atguard.

No longer sold/supported by WRQ, licensed to Symantec
(bloated incarnation as Norton Internet Security 2004).
