1 - Change your "hosts" file
Open "c:\windows\hosts" with Notepad.
This file has no extension.
Add the following line:
Your computer, before contacting your ISP's DNS server will
first look the IP address for s13ds.d8t.biz by searching for
it inside the "hosts" file.
127.0.0.1 is your loopback network connection. Your machine.
This will fool the spyware/adware most of the time, but not
all of the time.
2 - Firewall
For Windows 98, Atguard, Atguard, Atguard.
No longer sold/supported by WRQ, licensed to Symantec
(bloated incarnation as Norton Internet Security 2004).
Of course, you must pay a visit to Crash Dummy's excellent
Atguard is more or less in some sort of abandonware state...
Browse through the information and pop by asking questions
Recommended version is 3.22.11 (atgd322u.exe or any other
name.exe, md5 checksum is 6dea78ce53e564c49e22552f63b16c2e,
but there may be other valid checksums)
No flames on this one boys/girls, I am NOT recommending
3 - Get rid of spyware
(watch for wordwrap)
