With this threat in mind, I think he'd be well advised to check and
update his Adware, Spyware, and Virus scanner signatures, and ensure
that it's not an unknown mail server. Maybe a port scan from
DSLReports. I'm not too sure I'd totally trust ZoneAlarm as my only
defense here.
I agree with Jim - the possibility is stronger that its a spammer
forging his address (easy enough to check!). But I sure wouldn't go
to sleep without running a full set of security scans against my
computers, just in case.
