Many ways exist to conceal a file. Depends on who you want to hide it from
and why. Here's an interesting party trick. Assuming you have Office 2000,
go into Word, select Insert / Object / Package. From the Object Packager
dialog select Import and browse to the program you want e.g. notepad.exe and
select Update. Exit the Object Packager. The notepad.exe icon appears in the
current page at the cursor position. Highlight the icon. Select Format /
Font and check the Hidden box. Icon vanishes! Whenever you want to run the
program, open the document. Ctl A to Select All; Format / Font and uncheck
the Hidden box. The icon reappears. Double click it to run.

Subject: How to hide a file ?
Hi all,
I was wondering if there's a way to hide a file under windows 2000
server,
so that it will not be seen when using "show hidden file", "show all
files" and so on.
I want to hide a file but I want to be able to run the file only when I
know exactly where it is
and what is the file name.
Do you guys have any Idea ?
