Re: Enterprise Microsoft / application patching solutions?

Patrick,
A place I used to work at had about 30k workstations and 2k servers used BigFix. It worked really well for pushing out MS patches and updates. Plus, there were different modules you could add into it to patch other applications as well. It also had a reporting function that would let you search on machines missing say a patch X. It really helped streamline the patch management process there.

What do you guys and gals recommend for an enterprise patching solution for a company with around 250 servers and around 1000 workstations? This solution would really be beneficial if it was able to do both Microsoft OS patching and application patching. Obviously cost is a factor. Any suggestions besides WSUS would be great. Thank you in advance.
