Re: portknocking packages

Hi Geoff -

I know this response is quite late, but you might be interested in the
newest release of fwknop:

http://www.cipherdyne.org/fwknop/

It now works with ipfw firewalls on BSD systems, and the fwknop client
works on Windows from Cygwin.

Do folks recommend a particular portknocking package for the
following need:

- access from unpredictable networks
- client side must be able to work from a USB or flash drive
- server side must work on BSD
- cross platform client side

We don't plan on doing anything fancy, just open up a particular port
for access.
