Re: Web access to web server in private LAN

Is there a reason that they need it to stay on their
LAN? If you have everything setup to do this on your
DMZ I'd tell them that it has to be moved to the DMZ
for external access.
That being said. If it has been sitting on a LAN
you'll want to make sure that it is fully patched
etc., as machines on a LAN typically don't have the
same level of security as those with external access.

Hello everybody,

my organization has an Apache web server for world
wide access in the
DMZ. Right now, another department want to made
their own IIS server
(installed on their private LAN) available from the
Internet. How can
I manage that kind of access without moving the IIS
to the DMZ? Could
I use a reverse proxy or something like that?

Thanks in advance and best regards
