Hi,
While different implementations do exactly this, LDAP is becoming the defacto standard for the
storage and implementation of exactly these items. It is extensible to include mechanisms for
authentication etc. but in its simplest form is just a directory structure through which you can
organize and store and view your users and groups.

Hope this helps,

Hi,
I'm looking for a user management software that could store the following information.
User1 has access to database Y, server X, account was created on 2006-01-10 etc...
Also the possibility to do reporting (ie. how many users have access to server X etc..)
I know i could probalbly do something with access or mysql but before embarking on that....
BTW, i'm not looking for a sigle sign on solutions....
Thanks for your help
