    ('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) Astaro appliance, sure. Astaro on a server of your choosing, equally good. All things being equal, the appliance might be slightly simpler when it comes to purchasing, but that's about it.

    There is generally not much special about "hardware firewalls" or appliances... they are just another computer.
