I also need the stepping stone for this. I just started to take some basic
classes right now I am learning about the OSI how it work. But I really want
to get into security ... What books are good to have for a newbie? Plus I
also came up on 2 computers that I'm going to load linux or window for
testing...

Any links or forums that have good security would be greatful...

I am a Bachelor of computers student.I am very much interested in Security.I
have started reading articles,discussions,whitepapers,books etc etc related
to security.But the problem is i am not able to concentrate on building the
foundations for security....
Please explain me in details how to start learning abt security..
also what are compuslory skills for a security professional ? How to get
hands on experience with all the stuff which is posted on internet..
