Here's one quote I recently heard, which may have been going around for a
    while:

"Passwords are like bubble gum: Strongest when fresh. Should be used by an
individual, not a group. If left laying around, will create a sticky mess."

    Subject: Security Quotes or Stories

    Hi,

I'm collecting quotes or stories to promote security awareness among users.

IF you have a favorite quote pertaining to security or technology, feel
free to send them on (offlist). I'll gather them all together and post them
online for everyone to use in their security programs, screensavers, etc.

Also, if you have a story that reinforces how important it is to follow
good computer/network security practices, I'd love to hear from you. For
instance, I was thinking of telling the story of a friend who used to
administer a Novell server. He brought his young son in to work once and
the son nearly shut everything down with the press of a too-easily accessed
button. "Oops I forgot to back up" stories are great, too.

I'm putting together some cautionary tales blurbs for users. Once together,
I can share them with the list so you can use them in your security
    training efforts.

    Best,

    .k.

will be soft. You are one who sits grandly in your
house; your servants answer speedily; beer is poured
copiously; all who see you rejoice in good cheer.
Happy is the heart of him who writes; he is young
    each day."
