    Hi there,

    Merry Christmas

I am no where myself a "security pro" but an engineer wanting to be one.

    Any basic training should have
    1. Networking Concepts, Administrations: tcp/ip, firewalls, nids,
snorts, sniffers, spoofing, DoS,DDoS etc etc
    2. System OS Concepts, Administration: Windows Patching, security,
    Unix/Linux,tools like lophtcrack
    3. Little programming;-) Understanding Buffer overflows atleast in its
    basic essence
    4. Cryptography, Key/id Mgmt etc

This is just a small key things which I believe are necessary, U can
    add a lot more.

    Regards
    Gautam

U can hire me though ;-)
