    This all depends on what applications you are running on your workstations.
    If they are not compatible with any other OS but windows, then my answer is
    no.

    If you standardize your servers/workstations, etc, you may achieve a secure
    network, doing this with patches, firewall, and vigilance on your network.

    Really there are no safest OS's, just the ones you secure the best.

    I think just standardizing on one OS goes the most distance to achieving a
