    Another is issue may be how the anti-virus software is installed. If I am
    not mistaken, the ON-ACCESS is configured to scan default files (whatever is
    configured in the definition file) whereas the ON-DEMAND scan is configured
    to scan ALL files.

    Either scanner may be configured like the other.

    ON access scan implies that the file must be accessed
    so it will be standing there until you (or someone else ) acess it
    full system scan check every files one by one

    Anyway... I'm trying to figure out why McAfee on access scanner isn't
    picking these files up but the full system scan is. There is no
    difference
    in the setup we have between on access or full scan.
