    u can use rpm API's to develop an app to contact the remote servers for
    rpm installation/upgradation. but still u need to open a port for
    communication between them. (i did this long time back)

    i dont know if there is ready made OSS for that.

    the second way is to have a RHN proxy server installed locally and all
    your remote machines can use this server for updation.
