I think someone else mentioned this in their post as well. Some of these
firewalls (zone alarm excluded) for windows have a tendency to 'alter' (?)
winsock. And your TCP/IP settings. You may want to erase your tcp/ip
settings in network configuration and just reinstall them. This may be
fixed another way but a similar problem happened to me before and I did
that to fix it. Another problem (sorta related) is when you install AOL 8
on an XP box. Ive found out renders your tcp/ip settings useless after
uninstalling AOL, and I had to reinstall them all over. Use zone alarm for
a personal firewall its a much better personal windows firewall in my
honest opinion.
