    I've heard good things about UniShred Pro. (commercial tool
    at http://www.lat.com/Our_Products.html)

    If you are looking for free options you can:
    1) "dd if=/dev/random of=dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ bs=64k"
    2) Lather, rinse, repeat (7 times) to taste.
    3) This can be time-consuming.

    OR

    1) "man mediainit"
    2) Be aware that mediainit runs are measured in days, not
    hours.
