Hi Alan,
I highly recommend -- Remstats
http://remstats.sourceworks.com:1954/release/index.html
Its very flexible. Written in perl so easy to maintain, has snmp support,
RRD tool in the core allows easy eyeballing of the graphs.
We monitor around 60 systems including cisco 62xx, 40xx, Unix Boxen etc,
without any complaints.

Hello Alan,
When I was looking for information about RRD, I stumbled upon some documents
about netflow. I'm not an expert at all on this matter, but what I've read,
it looks ideal for your purpose.
Netflow is Cisco technology and can gather a lot of information. Then you
can send data to an external box (your linux-box) for interpretation. There
is a project that integrates flowscan with RRD and is called flowscan:

Hope this could help you

Ämne: monitoring web & mail traffic
Good Afternoon,
I have multiple web & mail servers in a DMZ. I want
to be able to measure the amount of bandwidth each
server is using. I do not have access to the servers
(they belong to our customers). The DMZ is connected
to a Cisco 3600 router. I would like some advice as
to the best bandwidth monitoring program to run from a
linux box.
Thanks for your help.
