This may not apply, but I found that when I installed the freeware ZA, it tried to send data. I discovered this because I already had another firewall in place, and it said ZA was trying to establish a connection. I think the IP translated to a ZoneLabs address, but I'm not certain.

Subject: Increase in Internet activity in Windows
I am seeing a sudden rise in Internet activity since I have installed
the latest version of ZA. (May be it has nothing to do with ZA). Is my
computer compromised?
There is Internet activity even if nothing is running. Nothing odd shows
up in ZA. Please advise
TIA
Leo
