methinks like the way to go is thus:
a)set up a VPN
b)run a remote-control product over VPN
I dislike PCAnywhere, as its slow, expensive, etc, etc and recommend
RemoteAdmin, RemotelyAnywhere and VNC in that order, based on
speed-->features.
