Since you already have CCNA, you might want to familiarize yourself with the
CISCO 'Business Resilience' model and see what they have to offer in terms
of training / cert's in that area. From the viewpoint of IT, most of their
topography is plain common sense, but they do offer some valuable tips in
how to deal with 'management' types...I believe this is a definite growth
area in our industry (as soon as we can get the 'suits' to realize the
advantages).

I was hoping that you guys can provide me with some valuable
information on the following.

I currently hold the SSCP, CCNA and a MS in Computer Science. I do not
have any industry experience.

I am trying to get myself involved with the Security Field. After
taking the SSCP, I am intersted in exploring the area of Risk
Management, Auditing and Business Continutiy and Disaster Recovery.

I have a few questions that I need information on to get a good strat:

* Are companies looking for people who have this background? And do
  you see that this would be something that would be "hot topic" a
  couple of years from now?

* I do not have too much experience, do you guys think they are good
  areas to focus?

* Does anyone know any good certifications in these area that I can
  pursue without having too much experience? I prefer self-study.

* Is there anyone out there who is in the above mentioned field. If
  so, what is the best way I can go about getting a start in this
  career and can you tell me what my options are?
  Basically, I want to know how did you pursue a career in this area
  of security? How to be successful in this area?

I hope someone can help me get a start.
