Robert,
The Windows NT Resource Kit has a utility called setpass.exe. I have
combined it with a sample script from MS article Q173529 to do what you
are attempting on NT servers and workstations. It works well provided
you already know the password of the Administrator account. I have not
used it on Win2000, but it may be worth trying. Nor do I know if there
is a newer or better version in the Win2K Resource Kit. Email me if you
would like a copy of the script I used.

Hello All,

Does anyone know of the existance of a program
(preferably freeware) that I can used to create a
script that changes the administrator password on
NT/Windows 2000 servers. I planned on running this
script on a workstation and changing the administrator
password on machines in the current domain as well as
on machines in other domains. Any assistance will be
greatly appreciated.
