Check http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/faq.html#q54, you can run VNC over
SSL or SSH. There is also a tight VNC that will increase speed somewhat.

If you are doing this on Win2K Server I would suggest using Terminal
Services in Remote Administration mode, it is fast, secure, free, and you
can change it to run on a high port to make it more secure.

VNC is ok... just make sure that the server does not hang when you shut
it down... or you will be driving to the location to reset it. Also the
password I believe is just clear text... not very secure. If I am wrong
about the password bit... let me know..

Thanks
Sean

: I would look into VNC by AT&T Labs. It seems to be very
: light weight, and most importantly has completely
: customizable ports, very important if you will be accessing
: through a firewall, and also adds a little security through
: obscurity. Also, VNC is open source under the typical GNU
: License and all the source is provided.

I use VNC as well. Seems to work just fine for most things.
