Does anyone have any thoughts on LapLink? This is our companies current
Remote Admin. tool of choice, although I've not heard anything on it's level
of security. I have found it to be quite stable, and although a bit slow,
faster than VNC, aside from the occasional refresh pauses..
thanks,
adam

While VNC does not offer any significant security and is slower, it is
certainly more stable than pcAnywhere. I prefer the stability, the size of
the client (less than 200K), the browser interface (who needs a client?),
etc. of VNC over pcAnywhere. I also like VNC better than terminal services,
because of the occasional inability to reconnect to the same session and
continue working, though this occurs much less in Win2K than NT4/TS.
Hosting facilities must hate pcAnywhere...

I wanted to get an idea of what full-system remote administration programs
people recommend for internet servers. Mainly I've found most use
PCAnywhere or Terminal Services... curious as to which poses less of a
security risk, quicker speed, server resources used, etc.
TIA,
