Port 1145 could be used for passive FTP. However, I did not think this was
the case in this particular incident, but you never know. Anyway I blocked
that individual, he/she is finished with me ... :-)

I dont know what you mean by a common exploit... that port is not a standard
port number, as opposed to 21 for ftp, 22 for ssh, 23 for telnet, 80 for
http etc...
I am not aware of anything relating to that particular port and was unable
to find any information in a pretty extensive search...perhaps if you could
provide some more specific information, such as if this is based on an
attack you are experiencing, the relevant logs or something a bit more
substantial?
